Initial Consultation
- The therapist will explain the acupuncture treatment and its expected effects to the client during the intake consultation.
- The therapist will provide an estimate of the expected treatment duration and frequency during the intake consultation.
- During the intake consultation or the first treatment session, the client will provide information about:
- Their health and medical history;
- Whether they are under the care of a doctor, specialist, or therapist and for which complaint/condition.
Treatments
- The client agrees to the current pricing for a treatment session.
- The invoice must be paid within 14 days after the treatment. The client will receive the invoice via email.
- Acupuncture treatments may be eligible for reimbursement by the health insurer. The therapy falls under supplementary insurance/alternative care. Reimbursement depends on the insurer and the client’s policy. The client is responsible for checking their eligibility for reimbursement with their health insurer.
Liability
- The client agrees to receive treatment at their own expense and responsibility.
- The provisions, professional code, qualification requirements, and disciplinary rules of the professional association Zhong (Dutch Association for Traditional Chinese Medicine) apply to the therapist’s care.
- The therapist has professional liability insurance.
- Dutch law applies to the therapist’s services.
Confidentiality
- The therapist will treat all client information obtained during the provision of services as confidential and will not disclose this information to third parties, except when required by law or when the therapist has received permission from the client.
Complaints
- If the client has a complaint about the therapist and/or treatments, they are requested to discuss this with the therapist.
In case of unresolved disputes, the client can appeal to the complaints procedure applicable to Zhong therapists. The complaints procedure can be found on the Zhong website:
